i will check my passport see what whether I have my visa, one of my classmate now have job in rigging, other classmate who are international student got their visa, some still apply and trying get job and others go home to find job.

2moro for 1st time am going to flat with ryan and isaac. i have to pack my thing, move to my new room, put my ang pow money into my bank account and then, have to call isaac and also help him move.

1 thing is. i sense I won't last after april, maybe move out at june, because maybe 1 year cannot find job here. both lar cannot pay rent and cannot find job oso.

i will try and keep spending less, only important things, I will find myself normal job and keep that job until can find animation job, last choice I fly back to KL

3 30 pm, I was at cgtalk website and then I saw this article about working in my own industry, general topic aboutart & design and then designer working with client, the old stuff i experience before at KL when client got into any trouble and give stupid reason dun wan pay your salary.

i will provide link here, alot of this case oso happen at KL when I was working in advertising, other than OT for no reason and disrespect from my boss(small problem) but main problem is client never pay the designer.

whoever this person is, he relly make the priority for us because he knows we are working people who oso work for money, not just client

I contacted christine to ask for my final transcipts and letter for immigration yesterday and I receive it today, wow it's a surprise! and there relly is 2 copies!

2moro ryan bringing me to photostat those papers and justice of piece so I can certify passport, student visa, finals transcript and letter of completion 2moro, mum have transfer some small money to my bank account so I can at least try apply the job search visa.

maybe when afta I check got money arrive I can take bus to ASB bank at new market and then print bank document, buy bank draft and then plan how to send application to auckland branch.

11 07 am auckland, i seen this residen evil trailer online at cg channel(one of my informative cg website) and tot about sharing it here, if you're a fan of resident evil than you can watch this, I just pay attention to their render only.

around 11 30 pm I will be going to auckland city again to meet yee fong for lunch and hana for some well bible thing, in truth I dun wan to go, I was suposed to go Media Design School to check the course there about their Bachelor Degree in Art & Design but I was so tired, thanks to neighbour yesterday make so much noise.

anyway, i plan to call up KK and ask if got any part time job while I still have student visa, and try and get one lar, if not I have to think about going back to KL. maybe find job there and see if got any reply from here

12 33 pm, epsom auckland. I applied for job at huhu studios on 18 dec last yerandthey finally give me reply this year jan 11, wow some time man. my job application kena rejected, but tat is okei, I tot to myself dun want to apply there anyway before but I still apply.

thing is tat at first i worried that got no replies so huhus reply 1st it's okei, I welcome rejected reply anyway, Imight expet same from other company sent to. at least got some reply is all i want to hear, next is company reject me until I get some news they want me take some test or they want see more work.

I apply at huhu studios, digipost, yukfoo, albedo fx, oktobor, gameloft(no more animation job)cirkus and other company i forget.

after tat I stop applying dy, the rest is up to them la. last choice I go back KL and apply the job there, oh I also wanna share something else here, small exercise I do in animation for fun I keep sharin at my blog.

at 10 am today I arrange to go see some rooms at the city, it's owner is from India, the rent is 140 nzd per week, I dun wan type so much details, that's room no 2 now, then I have lunch wit ryan, after that I went for movie with ryan, rennee chan siat bin and their friend. I watched Puss in boots. I discovered a another way toget to new market without taking the stupid buss ^^.

ryan also shown me got free internet for use at auckland library ^^. So if I moved out, I can use internet there! youtube, dl music and movies, and then finally upload work online.

some interesting to share here about tv commercial, ignore the squairrel, pay attetion to the environment, character models, the render and the animation, it's pretty good.

i was reading on star online news about the new bill that will by pass into parliament.

here is the link, I dunno whether to say is good or bad, but some of it sound like good to me, good like how good are the changes and can it help the people that they won't complain like a bitch, the nation is happy and not asking too much, and the goverment did a survey and research.

because last year, KL was at so many problems.

also same old problems with anwar, talk cock and no walk, takes part in anything to do with getting attention and then he falls down and everyone look at him like he is shit. But I think about it he is a piece of shit, look at how he behave, I rather not have him run any office, you stupid baka, even your own nation thinks you are nothing but rubbish, you still alive? only reason you still alive si probably because of someone still loyal to you is supporting you.

it's now year 2012! 2011 is all over! and i watched tin tin movie yesterday!
the movie is nice, the lighting and mood was good, the jokes are very entertaining, the lip sync good editing.

now I think the new year started I have few things to do, but i think first day of new year I want to rest. I went to look for flats, I finish my animation reel, I applied to jobs and I tried to check wit immigration to get my visa, only immigration part fail so many times.

next I think I will deal with visitor visa they sent to me.

next year I do more simple stuff, I will keep looking for rooms, and handle interview if got any interview, I will also try and find way to send my visa application.

other than that have a happy new year!

it's 23 dec, new year is coming and this year pass by so fast, I finish my studies at lifeway, everything happen so fast.

che is here at auckland, I'm applying for jobs, looking at rooms, dealing with immigration about my visa >.<

I feel so headache, i wonder if next wat I am rushing for, wat will happen next wat will do I next? 2moro I am going to see 2 rooms at the city, 1 at kingston street and 1 more at union street, 1 at 5 pm and other at 7 pm

it's 10 47 pm, epsom, I was at city today to meet wit my friends from lifeway animation course, had fun for 3 and half hours at city with ryan, andreas and fernando, year 3 hours of fun at city is enough, eat some lunch and then finally return to epsom.

I bought a hop card tat use for transport here, I want to check about the card balance 2moro, the stupid balance show $ 0.00 dollars, and I paid nzd 40 dollars. either got problem or I have to go fix the problem, alter if I want to use again then how I check my balance rite? takkan I visit city eat all my 10 dollars in 1 day, and my other card reload oso no balance.

anyway got some interesting stuff here can share about metal gear game, it's called rising, the story is modern time and focussed alot of war, moral principle and conflict, but less philosophy.

I just finish upload my animation to facebook, now I just have to finish my resume and then soon email off to all the company to apply for job >.<

I haved from snells beach to my cousin house at epsom, after finish my last class at lifeway, febuary until december is so fast, i feel tat 1 year pass by so fast.

I felt quite sad tat I kena leave lifeway actually, not because I like lifeway but because, I had family there. i din see them for 1 day now, will be 2 weeks I didn see them, I think after I moved out even from epsom I will miss my nephews and this place.

anyway, my final animation is finish,I got my diploma from toa and my documents from lifeway, I try to talk to my friends at lifeway and only 1 responds to me >.< feel so homesick from lifeway, this months I will rest abit as I can, next week I plan to maybe go for a walk, around epsom and finally I will think about calling immigration nz about applying for job search visa. lastly I will finish editing my animation reel properly.

wat else am I thinking about? hm maybe next after tat is looking for my own flat, I keep shortling but I think maybe soon I will email them to ask about the flat.

almost 1 year have pass, since I started to study here in new zealand as international student, met international student from other countries. learn to speak english and sounds so weird haha because I always speak cantonese at home. learn about different culture and try to learn new things.

study animation in different country like new zealand is so different than KL, different learning environment, different way of teaching and system, everything all different. I think most different of all is next year, I can speak cantonese again when I move to epsom , I will get my job search visa and I will looking for a job

my friends from 1st yar will return to Japan, Beijing and 1 have gone back to taiwan. I'm sure that I will not see her again until well, not sure, I'm sure I won't see her again

I remember last year i was at toa, for 2 years studying, now I am here still studying, and then now I am going to finish my studies soon.

but i want to ask the most important questions, what have I learned? have I changed? all this questions is very important as student study in different country.

last year I feel like shit because of what happen to me, this year I feel even more shit but I still grow up, so ask myself again, Tham Chien Yih, how have you change? did lifeway college change me? did new zealand change me? what change me?

i make new friends from different country and culture, I even think like different person, haha I am not typing so many time like before at toa, can simple type anything in this blog, got so much to talk about, alot to share, now I think about it, I got less to share, dun feel like want to talk about it.

yesterday when i was doing my work i started to feel umcomfortable, so i decide to go back my room and rest, alter I think I kena like air sickness, it's like you feel your body is not healthy and you later have to release air.

today I feel almost the same but not like yesterday night, haiyor this morning was like shit, macam sick kao kao. Anyway now I have 2 important things to do, I kena get some documents from lifeway for immigration and I kena move out to jun kor's place.

it's 5 30 am in morning, and here I am so awake and posting stuff, okei but I am posting something more for a reason, just recently, I seen live video footage of alarming young child that got run over by a van of perpetrator in China Guanzhou, she was run over by 2 trucks! like 1 truck isn't painfull enough for a child!, there were passerby's that totaly ignored her when they could help her a drag her to side for safety but no one give a damn!

hi there, it's 5 23 pm at evening, and I'm updating my blog about stuffs happen here, it's my 2nd sem 1st term holliday tat is 1 weeks, I arrive at wellington on saturday afternoon, and feel sick from sunday until now >.<

I now over at Wellington short holliday with my kar che! before that I share 1 interesting cerita, Daniel Wang, the recruiter for Oktobor Animation come over to lifeway college to meet and interview the student in 2nd year of animation course.

he come around 11 am to meet us, introduce himself and oktobor animation, talk to us and see our showreel and give some feedback, he seems like nice person and give feedback to my animation reel, he knows tat we still doing our final so maybe he come visit again at november.

it's 4 39 pm at afternoon, so now i am writing new post

this week I went to auckland city wit my friends from lifeway college, to visit media design school and ask questions about their 2nd year.

my friends Edward Wen. Tung Pham , Isaac Tan and me are interested so we went there for interview. I saw their classroom and facility, meet their tutor and talk to them, it was interesting because we able to visit their classroom and see the works they were having.

Media Design School have campus somewhere else before, but nwo they have shifted to Albert Street at auckland, it's next to Auckland sky tower. meanwhile I wish to share some photoes we taken at auckland.

i am doing work at nightm maybe late work for my final project, i not sure what time would i be sleeping, let's hope it's not so late. but got something I will type about.

Rugby World Cup New Zealand 2011

hello is saturday, and i learn yesterday was the rugby world cup, it's oneof new zealand most popular sport. you can read about it here. the rugby world cup opening ceremony started at auckland city yesterday and alot of people went there, they also perform the Haka dance, it's a tradition done by maori people before they go to war.

i find it interesting to learn about different culture overseas. Anyway today there will be party at Lim Sun house, a reunion for the asian community, international students and friends, like family reunion. I will help make the dumplings to eat XD, and I will take photos

今晩。自分のanimation reelを作ります。今は少しいアニメanimation　testをできました。あとでねせたいす。でも今はほかのことをはなしますね。私の暗さ友達は氏名をはきっり言いました。かのじょうは Chrischurchからいらしゃいました。Isobelleちゃんの声がマーレャ人声もうたとられます。本当にすごいですね。

well, it's nearly 11 pm, I was working on my animation reel whole day doing an animation test and completed small bits. abit later I will upload in my blog to share it. my classmate isobelle have seen my animation and she thinks it looks fine and says I shud upload it.

I only done a blend shape test with animation test to see for body moment, probably tomorrow i can uplaod more, I will try my best! after that everyone can give me their oppinions!

hm i still working on animation reel, did my modeling job for environment, now modeling clothes for character, hopefully next week wednesday can do animation test XD, I will share some stuff here soon.

today I show something different, is already macam 1/2 year I stay at snells beach, and 1/2 year I live and study kat new zealand, life here is different then KL, the kiwi I met are friendly and open minded, they are nice ppl, I think about living here so far from home, life so different, have to learn and practise english, talk to kiwi, wow abit different until must crack head to understand them.

10 30 pm, Snells Beach, Rodney, I'm doing night work and typing this shitty blog, I shud be doing my final, but I got bad headache. I have 3 weeks for animation specialization and I have to say, I am learning something from my tutor Matt who was from Freelance animation school, he taught about abotu things in animation you never learn before, my previous lecturer in TOA was relyl stupid and never knew about this stuff, he was relly biased tat's why no one like him, piece of idiot.

i never improve in animation at toa because that tutor was biased and he was total fail for teacher, but matt is good tutor, we respect him and get his advice, and everyone seem to enjoying the acting lesson and animation so far.

I will share what I learn during my study wit matt, he give us each a dialogue from the animation er cannot remember the name and he study the dialgoue and animate in our way. this was my animation. I have to say I have learning graph wit this dialogue because matt know how to show me the way.

now I have to focus on new animation dialogue, from the animation "entangled", I will try my best

11 40 pm, Snells Beach Lifeway campus

since I came back on saturday afternoon I will staying at campus to focus on my specialization and final project. damn I feel so lanjiao to come back here. bloody campus, bloody programme leader and bloody hell arrogant the some of the students.

good news is I can specialize in animation already, yes, character animation this first week they gave us 2 tutors, 1 tutor for character modeling the other tutor for character animation. the problem was in the morning classes I have to model characters, afternoon classes I have character animation, good thing they dun want complete model with textures and finished render.

stupid Sean Castle, he relly doesn't know this field damn lanjiao, but I decided to save that for later, I will have to focus on specialization and final. 1 week so far but I feel I am learning something, like I was learning lighting texturing and rendering. I will post up some character animation later. Also the good news is, my tutor for animation he's name is Matt, contact Oktobor Animation since got ppl wanan specialize, said we will take a test at oktobor if we applying to go there. So I was thinking, since me and my classmate markus are going into character animation, y dun we both flat at same apartment at auckland city? the rent will be cheaper like dat and it's easier for us, if we both finished our test and masuk oktobor XD.

this is one damn long blog haha! anyway the new intake have so far 4 students, and they feel well, abit weird, this year is defijnitely damn char for them, 1 taiwanese PR and 1 international studentz.

end of Wellington

11 15 pm, Wellington, at che's apartment, hm, is my last night here, I'm flying back to auckland 2moro to see all my classmates, m'sian friends onsite and my final sem.

well, I have stayed at che's apartment in wellington for 2 weeks already, it was good staying at city for this period of time, I feel like, it's a good change environment, when I need to relax and enjoy my holliday I see the city and just hang around like normal everyday person who wants to thinkabout something else nothing to do with studies. involve in everyday life.

now when I'm returning to lifeway campus, I starting to get serious and will change my attitude to working very serious and focus, actually I'm glad my campus is at countryside, it's quiet, far from city, no car sounds, excelpt for wind blow and cow making love at night. it's nice and quiet I can concentrate on my studies, my room is above lab and I only go to lab and my room. it's a big difference! I can focus on my studies.

now the objective is specialise and get better in character animation. I did many things while at wellington, sightseeing, take photos, eat m'sian, japanese, korean food, read books, walk around, look at stuff, hang out starbucks and yumcha with ah che. the best part, watch the last harry potter movie with che XD

now I return to campus and continue my final sem. I'm certain about 2 things at future. I might working fulltime at JB Hi Fi after graduate to support myself, get my job search visa and then work somewhere in auckland. I will have to ask like hell an check for apartment or better room to rent.

and I was very lazy to write this stupid blog, but since is my last night at wellington might as well write it lar. after this I will stay at auckland for next 5 months finishing my final.

I just read this article online only, it talks about immigration and PR for international studentz plus myself who interested in study 1st at foreign country then to job search visa to permanent residence.

staying after studies, it talks about whether or not the internation students purpose here is relly study or mess around with parents money. adoi they make me sound macam i tak layak saja >___<. It also talk more about stuff that I too lazy to explain here

anyway, che going to work today, I probably take some walk at city by myself while che is working, I then wil come back and make some lunch for myself and then go out again, since I on 2 weeks break I will navigate city by myself XD

11 12 am, 17th July 2011, I'm currently at wellington on semester break for 2 weeks!

going to enjoy my holliday while it last! so I will be spending 2 weeks with my kar che until i return to Snells beach, smel;s beach, smelly beach, snells bitch. so wat will I do here? dunno le, got nothing relly plan.

maybe I will walk outside sometimes when I just feel like walking. other than that good news I got all my marks. I passed every subject, happy enough, next is just need to enjoy my 2 weeks break. Anyway I woke up too early 2day, at 10 am,didn't eat my break fast yet, I think I will prepare lunch later around like 12 pm, thinking either soup or korean noodles, hell maybe just soup because is more delicious.

hm after this year, is going to be very different for me, I dunnow how, I just feel is going to be relly different. fultime job as intern, life working overseas and going to specialise as character animation and concept artist, wat else is in the future that I dunno?

yesterday before I left, Lu Lu Zhang tried to ask me if I was interested in going to auckland city like 3 times, I said I am going to wellington to stay with my older sister, funny lar she asked me yesterday and she askedme day before yesterday and she asked me again like yesterday. is she trying to get me to go with her? hahah

anyway al I know is since isaac left, things are very different, he wants to work, I wanna learn and finish my studies. and maybe months later I have my showreel ready to apply for animation intern, I will consider as lighting and texture intern job if got ppl accept me XD

BERSIH 2.0, PERKASA, Patriot

8 53 pm, Snells Beach, I'm now writing this stuff out because I have sense to write something relly big.

news was annouced recently back home about the rally for the next general elections for next year, a few political parties which was claim to be illegal, BERSIH 2.0, PERKASA and PATRIOT, a club but not even a party, anouned they would rally at KL and march toward stadium merdeka. members of each party have different intentions and motive of their own for the march.

I dun' fully know the story but what I know so far is happening in the news updates from staronline and from some website that pointed the video footage.

this is what been shown to me

this video shown members from FRU shooting smoke gas at the rally crowd, yet ppl's argued the rally haven't acted violently towards FRU or even cause public harm

here as well, the FRU shot smoke gas at the Rally crowd. everyone argues as why have there been no demonstrations allowed in our country and everytime there is a demonstration, the police tells them to disperse before they even speak. this is pretty obvious to me that there got no such thing as human rights.

amazingly there's also a BERSIH rally at Melbourne, australia, a more peacefull, yet straight to the point rally totally none violence I seen

also a BERSIH rally at Auckland , New Zealand, I would have gone only if I had transport, that way I can speak openly with all m'sians about things back home.

this probably is the biggest political conflict I seen coming from m'sia so far because everyone knoew about it back home of overseas. everyone talking about it and everyone relly updating on the news about it. Our goverment, our leaders, our officicals that service in goverment service, it just became like very attention grabbing suddenly.

I had to keep in touch at home because I'm malaysian, dun get me wrong, I luv my country, my ppl but I cannot accept the part of politics, watch what you seen in the videos, hear what you get from newspapers, and bulletins, see how manipulative these ppl are.

2moro all this enters the starts newspaper, berita harian even nan yang. When will malaysians ever have peace?

3 54 am Snells Beach

sound like a bloody log, anyway, I can't sleep again, I think I goign to faint abit later during daytime, so since I still got energy I can write all this out. Isaac left his studies to work fulltime internship at Oktobor, I'm still here, got to finish what I started.

prepare simple ideas for my final project, and finish up on animation I have not completed. hm other than that I can update on more stuff I never share, been a long time I never do digital painting, so I am sharing here one of my old paintings I put on hold and never have time to finish, below is the wip, kind of static for wip but I will do my best to show more stuffs.

for now I have compositing classes working on Nuke programme, so called powerfull compositing programme for high end films, ugh I'm not even a compositor dude. But I will touch it for sake of touching it. as long as I can pass am happy.

so here's the story below for the painting, an aura of a wizard is in some cave looking for some portal to some place, it see's it in some distance away, surrounding the cave is glowing crsytals that emit a glow the same color as the portal, therefore, the crystal are like the life source that empower the portal.

6 12 pm, Snells bitch, warkworth, I doing my character rigging assessment until bored to death >____<. Isaac got internship at Oktobor Animation (Y) and I am going to stay at Lifeway campus bored to death.

well, I guess my character rigging will keep me busy. below is the image of my rig, very ugly, but wat else can I do wit it. anyway I will just do a normal job wit it after that I will probably create some simple animation wit it. This morning I had mood to do my character rig but this time I feel very tired and lazy. >____<

I guess if my rig got problem I will only be more alert XD. 27th of June was my friend's b'day, she turn 21 years old, I wonder if I return to kl someday I might closer to her than anyone we we slowly get into relationship.

the making of Sintel

but is quite interesting because I got stuff I would like to share, a video about making of Sintell, if anyone watched it already good on you. I just saw it online only and I tot that talking about this short animation is relly good sharing. I'm sure producer, storyteller, writer, film director and animators would like to share about this.

anyway, I will share my rigging example sometime this week, rite now I ended to go back and continue my character rig, below is the picture of my character rig, it's very simple nothing special, simple controller that do nothing special other than the character can move. in the middle of controller construction and maybe by 2moro I can start paint weight dy XD.

Westfield mall albany, event cinema, cars 2

is 3 am here at snells beach, and I'm typing my blog now, I was at Warkworth whole day, well not relly whole day, I'm also at Albany when my classmate Markus hacket invited me to watch movie with him at Westfield shopping mall.

so what movie were we watching? erm it was animation feature, Cars 2 by pixar animation studios! yup, a world known animation company specialising in storytelling in animation, long or short animation film. This time the story about cars was very different, it have a turning point from the start of the movie, the direction of the movie is still the same, it's about cars, racing and the most interesting part was that it shown different cars from around the world, Japan, US, Italy and London. the story had alsoa different twist to it , it have a style like James Bond, you have to watch it to understand, abit hard to explain like dis.

I watched it and I was laughing at some of the jokes, their entire animation work was well done, I relly respect their dynamics team and rigging team, alot of that work was relly die hard core for effects and not easy to achieve. but I still say the storytelling is still fine, not that great but still acceptable, I hope pixar will still do a good job in future if they still do storytelling.

as for me well, my summative for rigging and skinnning, advanced rigging and skinning , hm not so advanced have started, I'm doing character rig for my previous model, I will probably post wip in my blog here start from monday, once again I'm not a rigger, I'm concept artist in training and character animator, I might consider lighting and texture trainee XD.

good news is that some of my classmate asked me to teach him how to digital paint. Well it's good to be able to teach fiends and classmates.

assasins creed revelations

it's 10 30 pm in evening, i'm at the lab doing some rigging exercise, the exercise equals create a "reverse foot lock" and some spine curve with the multiply divide utilities in maya. I improvised abit and used just connection editor instead, it wasn't working well for me. I'm happy that Don Smith is teaching character rigging, I at least can learn Reverse Foot lock which I supposed to learn las tyear but it was hard to understand so I manage to learn this year. I self learn and try Knee flip.

I will play blast my study of the character rig soon, I didn't want to try hard but since I specializr in character animation I tot I would at least have some small basic in character rigging even if I sucks at it XP

some of my classmates went to Oktobor Animation today for interview for internship, they say they will get call next week about maybe they get the job offer, I wish them all the best! XD

I also want to share an interesting game news here about a popular console game since 2008, assasins creed revelations, I only played assasins creed 1 so I can only play assasins creed 2 after I my course finish on maybe at weekend. below is the trailer, Ezio looks so old dy in this trailer.

dynamics final project

good day! is 4 48 pm here at snells beach, I did not go out today at all, but stay at the labs relax and put up some mroe of my work here, at least to know that I not waisting my time here. the final project I was given here is called summative, exercise here is called formatives

their lessons are normally given in 2 or 3 weeks then final projects start maybe 3rd week!

my final project is given brief is to create dynamic movement for furniture and things in the room, how it react to explosion and shockwave after explosion, it was very hard for me but I learn one thign out of it, never do something I am not ready for but can understand and I can control.

10 15 pm, Lifeway College, School of Media, my Dynamics summative, final project is all finished, and I'm relazing haha, just abit maybe play some call of duty later to release stress.

I decide will upload that final project later, is done by a noob like me so go easy yar? news is that now my room mates, Jun Yu from Beijing have moved out of Lifeway course and went to auckland to study management. I'm glad he make that decision because he was not so interested in this course. I will catch up with him 1 year later as long we still meet.

he have left Lu Lu and Qiu Yang Bao behind, no worries, I will take care of them, others news is that my Dynamics lecturer Don Smith is not leaving campus yet, instead I was told he is staying for awhile at Lifeway until August to see if he likes this place.

I got a feeling that this industry will grow properly as long as we have the rite ppl to teach , train and willing to learn from each other. I decided my plan is very simple, be open to learn and improve anytime, be open to other ppl idea that can improve my learning experience, this relly have help me alot.

if Don decide to stay on and teach at Lifeway school of media as a fulltime lecturer, I'm won't be surprised but I am glad for the sake of the students. I won't be here next year haha, I will be on internship.

1 31 pm at Lifeway college after lunch, I straight away come to lab to do work, instead of just waisting time, so here got some stuff of wat happen in my life here so far.

make the explanation this simple lar, my Canadian lecturer, Dom Smith or Don Smith who teaches dynamics and used to teach at Vancouver is senor lecturer here teaching me advanced dynamics, sial man, I am total noob at dynamics. but at least I learning something. I work nearly 5 - 6 hours in a day or maybe 1 whole night to do my work. Good thing is dat I'm not waisting time, spending it learning stuff and typing out this waist of time blog muahahahah!!

well I feel that I should share my stuff here on my blog to show that I'm not waisting my learning time in new zealand that coming here learning something is worth that money. Others news is that Oktobor Animation is making alot of noise they need ppl to help on their project, hm are they that busy? All I can do now is work on my character animation and stay focussed on studies, wait until is the right time then apply for internship after course over.

I also went with Isaac Tan Hai Swee, my junior from DG at toa from dg 91 to make our so called IRD (Inland Department of Revenue) number, last time I sent my application my mail got bounced back to me, all because it's not properly verify, haih hope this time is verified.

update is that David Tsui from Oktobor animation is not returning to teach Post Production at school of media, so they need to cari someone to replace him or we kena learn by ourselves again this time. if I was from Oktobor I will keep David Tsui.

anyway as I keep my word, I will share what I learned at lifeway school of media, in advance dynamics class, exercise 01, foundain

it's 10 54 pm, here I am writing block at night, after completing my summative project for this subject called lighting. hm I learned what in just 3 weeks, and did a summative project in 1 week! that is freaking fast. David Tsui has gone back to Oktobor now and claim he will balik to lifeway college school of media in august, for he's sake I hope he tak payah return to this fuck up college.

I wish him the best and hope he can stay and work at oktobor and they renew his contract. As for us, well Don Smith, our senior lecturer that was teaching at vancouver will be teaching maya dynamics to us, subject I'm not familiar and have to relearn everything. I just get this feeling after this few months I won't have fulltime lecturer anymore is up to me again to finish my character animation reel! fuk you Sean Castle! after this year I going to destroy your career!

I will upload watever work I did during the lighting subject, can I say I learned more to manage mu uv unwrap skill and my texture from b4, I was relly shit at it

updates is, one of my classmates, Jason Thomas Flint is returning from HuHu studios to school of media to continue on his studies which is relly good, he's a very nice and friendly person I knew from begining of my advanced character modeling subject, is good to have him back. others news is my vietnamese friend moved out of campus! yah man you da man!

anyway I am showing some stuff to prove that I am learning something while david tsui is around and not waisting all that money. hopefully I can share on my character animation after I complete it. I decided to rest this weekend, watch animation and just surf the web and do work only on sunday evening or at night.

it's nearly 12 am now at snells beach auckland and what have I got to say is this, it;s more than 3 months I staying here, there are more bussiness students from india, some of them are nice ppl so far, so I just met.

again we got invited to hok eng and lim sun place 4 dinner, i think it was good we all meet once every 2 months. the more of us the better the more fun. AS for this few months, I have a guest lecturer or tutor from Octobor animation, david tsui teaching us lighting , texturing and rendering some small parts of uv unwrap, old stuff but not my focus.

I will upload another piece of work from my assignments I was practising soon. I have some summative work this week to finish by next friday and submitted by next friday so standby la for wip.

I will relax until 2moro around 3pm that is when I will return to do work again. hm anyway I got something more to say, I plan to create some close relationshipwith some girls I know but I will not have relationship, hard to say haha after spend 3 months here.

hello it's 9 58 pm now at snells beach lifeway college school of media and I got some stuff to share, 1st of all, got a guest lecturer from Octobor animation here to teach abotu lighting, texturing and rendering, then got news some dude(kei kasai's friend) is coming to teach fulltime at lifeway until august. 2moro will have some meeting with the rodney fella again.

just because lifeway now have some new lecturer not mean they are getting better. as for me hm, I'm continuing to finish my bhd lip sync, it's damn sux! I actually have to repair the damn animation! I trying my best to finish the character animation, I suppose finish it last week but have to delay because I got headache and then running nose!

this week I decide every night I work until kau tim sai. 2moro 8 30 am somemore I have to come here in the morning for the stupid talk thing, I maybe kenot wake up oso! I'm trying to become better at character animation, but each time still making slow progress aduhai >____<

I got to try harder, anyway good news is 4 of my classmates working at huhu studios, doing rigging, animation and lighting, so nice they get internship, I plan to do internship maybe after lifeway apply at oktobor or others company i know.

Snells Beach Auckland

4 08 pm, Snells Beach, I am back here now after staying for 2 days 1 night at joon kor's place at epsom, got to see family again after nearly 3 months at Snells Beach XD.

saw auckland city from motorway and then I saw bigger version of warehouse. bought some new shoes to walk around(SHIOK!!!!) eat dim sum and korean buffer(LAGI SHIOKKK!!!) well I bought some sketchbook and mechanical pencil for myself to draw in class because I decided to paint digital and sketch traditional. I had fun playing football with my nephews, and shopping with them most of all, give them both chocolate.

I know 1 thing now, joon kor's nephews are good training for me to learn what is like to be a father, I dun know what is liek to live with children but I talk to them and take care of them like an uncle to learn the meaning of being parents, can say I am training very early. Now I think I'm knowing what life here got in store for in training, early parent training, learning to do things for myself more, job training and being patient, but most important someday is my girlfriend and future wife.

3 05 pm, now at lab, here is some update, I supposed to be visiting my cousin 2moro and maybe enjoy some family time, bu guess what? that family time was supposed to be today this week, but it was cansel because my cousin is busy. understandable

now today, I had last minute changes for transport and my holiday plan to visit my family is cancelled! I can't even bloody visit my family during holliday that is leaving few miles away from me wat the fuck is dis bulshit!

it's 5 18 pm wednesday, I am at lab doing my animation, online and typing out this blog, I can say that 1 did 1 thing today that make me smile, and that is, I drive car here for 1st time, better than never tried before, 1st time and last time.

auckland, 5 10 pm, 1 week holiday at campus snell beach, I finally have time to type out stuff on this blog to show I am still alive at new zealand and not dead yet.

this week is simple, lifeway college arrange a bus trip to albany and auckland city for international and local student, bus trip is free. I kena wait until maybe thursday for auckland trip I hope that jun kor is ready to fetch me from the city.

just this 1 week I spend time at campus doing my animation, eat, sleep , youtbube and play games. also I need to remember to do my IRD number sohai man. next thing is I will upload a personal animation I plan last year but never started until my holliday now, I uploading and share it here abit later.

5 15 pm, at lab, abit sien nothing to do other than my own work but today wanna relax abit. I did a walk cycle practise last week, to put for my new student demoreel, I have 2 more projects now that I doing now. just going to finish them so I can put in my student demoreel. today saturday here I dun want to do any work, I just want to relax and watch movies for learning and online in 11 second club or concept art forum look at others ppl works.

I only do work next week. Anyway news is, got some new lecturer teaching scripting for maya this week for only 1 month, adoi, MEL scripting damn headache wei, I try to code oso abit hard le haha, I got no understand how to code or understand how to use it, at toa never learn or use it before. look at my coding la in my blog to see how I suffering XD. Next week friday is my holliday start so I plan to go out to auckland to hang kai abit, holliday is about 1 week so maybe that 1 week I will plan to buy myself just 1 shoe for holliday at auckland and 2 more packet of korean noodle.

hm.... I am preparing my demoreel for Oktobor Animation, so trying to push my animation and drawing skill untik kao kao.

MEL language

now is 2 17 pm in afternoon, and I am typing this shit out, been learning MEL(Maya Embedd language for 2 days) T___T sohai hard liao, how the heck make this kind of script work I oso dunno.

anyway, I still boleh learn some script that usefull in my work, but now I fully focus on my animation reel, looks like sohai only but I try my best la to finish it, next after walk cycle is lip sync.

now that I typing this, I suddenly feel like 2 months study here, is like I dunno, I see time pass by and I'm still alive at here. news is Isaac trying to do this test for his internship at oktobor company and trying to work there, I happy get the test and even more happy if he dapat internship there, I hope he can work there so he can tell me wat it's like over there.

is 2 24 am, now I at lab doing my walk cycle, trying to finish the blocking by next week, that is my little plan for my demoreel.

but now I got another plan, that is to prepare better animation for my demoreel. I had asian dinner asian party last night with my neighbours on campus Hok Eng and lim sun, good to be able to eat mized asian food with asian families.

makes me feel warm to have asian family here, like never before, I taken the photos and plan to upload soon, while taking those photos I felt abit weird situation there I swear I felt like last year, jesus, I hope it's not me acting again.

but I got better stuff this time to post up, I got the chance to paint again my tablet about some value studies I can post in here. just to show my art foundation not yet dead.

some quick value studies of environment, pretty soon I will post some stuff I did on lip sync, currently blocking animation for a walk cycle. I got a little plan, around 25th april I will go down to auckland to stay for 5 days, I will ask tung or isaac to come down with me or anyone that interested if not then I will go on my own, I bring my laptop with me to do work also, I will try and ask Kelsey or taka san to see if either of them can fetch me or pick me up from auckland to return to campus when term break end see how things go.

29//03/2011 - so far is abt 2 months more at lifeway, and I feel it's different now, my lfie at this college has turn from normal to black.

reason 1 : lifeway now got no lecturer to teach is the next module, I suspect might be like dis for the whole year, am thinking working on my demoreel, arguing with them is pointless, I can use that nergy to stay focus and not loose concentration. I planing to apply for job as character animation at oktober animation, shud I? good or bad I must try.

reason 2 : Zhang Lu Lu, one of the girls here I always talk to for some weird reason touches me, we never talk much often, but I got a feeling we will see each other again, maybe in auckland, she has a bf and I know like previously I'm going to end up making another stupid confession when most of the girls I always confess to already have bf's and I always find out last minute! nia seng

reason 3 : I plan to move away from campus, because of few fuckup reasons, I cannot stand the fact that mom paid money for my food and they give me shit to eat or sometime too little. I wanna cook my own food, if I move out, I have to pay for my own rent, but I am jobless, I have no job I cannot pay for rent. even this is troublesome. 1st thing I going to do is ask for campus contract and ask to move out. I dun mind the way they run things here as long as not long term and not so retarded bu this is abit too much. the owrse case is 1 week without any lecturer teach me rigging and skinning, mom's money is waisted everyday! if I move out and pay for rent is even more waisted! so I am kinda stuck wondering what to do now!

reason 4 : kirby isn't teaching us animation anymore, sigh, it's like the rest is up to me now to learn or trial and error, I hope that after this I can get a job in new zealand even if got no lecturer for whole year, it relly going to sucks, so much money waisted on me and this is last decision I ever make, no more lifeway after this.

conclusion ; I am working on my demoreel now,and artwork I have, no regrets because is all I have to use to get a job. I will post watever work I created here so I will show that I am learning something

it's 9 34 pm now, i'm at animation lab started doing my assessment work, planned work layout for 1st day, nothing further than that. talking to my friends and classmates, sigh.

but now I got to say something, is relly bothering me di, I read the star online dere, talking abt the earthquake at japan and the nuclear meltdown that effect their nation, is relly sad news, I feel bad for them because is worse time of the year for them in many years, many japanese ppl died and not many other neighbour country but m'sia offer them help. Stupid China, you F@ckking communists! go help them! South Korea! you are so close go offer them any help you can even if you dun have any money to give!

Had eat outside of lifeway campus for 1st time heheh, fish and chips cost me nz 25 dollars! F@ukking expensive! I ordered apple juice cost extra 28 nzd, well good thing I eating only once at there. I took photo of my food also but pointless upload to here.

now it's 10 19 pm and I'm at lab typing this shitz blog out while doing my animation!!! I shud be resting, maybe tonight I sleep at 12 am, after I did abit more.

nxt week I plan to check with IRD with the main office and then probably join Tung, isaac and anyone else for searching the apartment. I plan check my account every of every month to see how much I spend on food, important things and not so important things. I hope will survive this whole year at lifeway campus.

morning, is 5 37 am here now, i'm awake and at the animation lab typing all this shitz out. 1st character modeling assignment finished and I'm taking some time off during weekend by watching movie that put up at server hahaha finalyl get to watch all the movies i miss last!

1st of all, I'm finished my work, but I will improve it later, now I wan to settle the IRD matter, my passport abit later. I have decided to go check for apartments or house with some friends and isaac 2moro, because we have a plan to move out, just not sure whether I able to do or not. I have many thing here I have to handle just no time for only.

also 2moro I plan to have lunch at the cafe near money savers, I wanna eat food outside the campus for once and dun worry abt money, 2moro will test widraw money from atm machine oso just in case. Alot of plan to make for in future just need to plan slowly. Well I didn't update alot on my blog because I was busy with assignment but here is point form update:-

1. my course lecturer Lernwell Ang have left lifeway school of media, I finished my 1st character modeling assignment that I will improve later, I got to make some new kiwi friends so far in new zealand and, I'm 1st time International Student with International skills.

2. I wanna work in new zealand as cg artist and character animator in company in auckland and wanna apply to be PR here.

9 12 am here at lifeway college, class started and I'm waisiting time blogging because I bo mood to do work, sad rite? someone must relly kick my ass to rush work. I work up late, around 8 am and rush to wash my face but learned that the canteen no more food for breakfast, was I late or is just me?!

I amaze I goddamn woke up early! next time I dun want to wake up for breakfast anymore I just prepare my own breakfast! mccb!

it's nearly 1 month in snells beach new zealand now, I am still alive, surviving and still trying to survive, I miss my family, my friends, I miss screwing with many things at home, I dun miss home, i dun miss the goverment. I got submission for my project this friday so I will rush like hell this week.

11:03 pm now, i'm at lab typing this shitz thing out when I shud doing work, but I tried and hungry, wanna make food eat later. Anyway, mom and che coming by 2moro and I wanan spend a half the day with them and makan, mummy leaving 2moro T____T

dun leave me! but I must grow up, I wanan disscuss with them both 2moro I wanan convert my license to nz driving license, no car yet never mind at least can drive car if need to go somewhere. I am here already 2 weeks and doing my project of character modeling, modeling character for 2nd time, did quite shitty but trying my best, ugh stupid character topology.

I will try my best to finish everything of the body by sunway and finish the clothes next week so I can move unto texturing. I got take pictures also when i at snells beach so later I can upload at here, I hope that someday I ask jun kor to teach me driving here before I go and take my test XP.

is 8 37 am here now, 1 week already I haven't blog, all I can say is, life here is good, can do my homework and learning new things, it's so different feel from studying at home, meeting new people and surprise got some malaysian here also.

hm... I am staying at the campus, now I feel like I am staying at PJS 9 area and warehouse nearby is the only shopping center is like sunway pyramid to me lol, I hope can survive here for 1 month and then pass all my subject properly.

11 24 pm, I'm at home nicely gathering anything left to pack, my clothes, toilet stuff, throwing out rubbish later at night, my laptop, most of all saying goodbye to any friends, seniors, relatives and close friends here.

in 2008 I applied to study at the one academy, I thought maybe I complete my studies there I would be ready to work, again I was wrong, I am so not ready for anything, so I decided to further to lifeway college, to find my focus in character animation and this time I have to prove I'm learning and ready. I would have gone to the one academy years ago and thought I would not need to study overseas I was wrong again, and most of all I thought I could train while working, I was even more wrong.

goodness those times I relly prove myself wrong but didn't realise that, my awareness started when I turn 25, so while I'm below 30, I will study for 1 last time. mom wanted to me to earlier but I decided it's not time yet, I believe this is the right time, choose the right time to go.

2010 from 2008 pass by so fast and now I feel that maybe after I arrive at auckland and start my study life there, maybe that 1 year will pass quickly and maybe I work there too will passs quickly. So why does this 26 year old guy won't start work yet? when he should? why does he still want to continue study even after completing his digital animation course at the one academy? why the hell does he still goddamn burden his mother, older sister and make life sometimes so hard?

so my answer is, because I know who I am, where I have been, I'm quite slow learner, but honest, I cannot understand whether I'm good at certain things, and I'm always thinking to myself that enough is not enough, that learning got no limits. that I maybe pay the price now, so in the future I know it's something I never regret, randy supported me even if i envy him. Jonathan prefers free education but free comes with a price that we must be wiling to pay, Sellwyn thinks abt money over job but what about happiness? that doesn't matter? ultraman is worried abt a job, but why worry abt jobs when you can pick that time to learn more abt yourself and discover your weakness and absorb watever knowledge you still can? and build it?

finally wai kwan is worried abt her work and problems, we all have to make decisions someday and sometimes we are worried abt what others think, sometimes it's jsut up to you and not up to the world to decide and judge you, we need to believe in ourselves, and sometimes you feel a certain direction to take in life which happens to us often it's like 6 sense, most ppl felt it, I get that random.

I feel bad at getting my mom to pay so much money this time for my last studies and plane ticket, and che to look after me there financially when all that money could be put to better use for their own future, I always wonder why I put them like this sometimes, so I'm paying a price now, and my punishment for this is that, I have no source for entertaiment there, I must live long enough there to survive and I got to plan life ahead, one of them is not to give up.

2moro's flying day and I'm leaving to study overseas for 1st time, I just to be able to learn something be be responsible.

Storyboarding

alright, it's 1 24 am now, and I'm still awake, that's because I sleep early again sigh.

meeting with my junior 2moro for yumcha, saying a last goodbye to anyone else that is here, now to upload the 2nd storyboard title for now is called "Ninja Scroll", previously Shinobi Story, yah typical rite? in fact the story itself is already typical but with simple objective, I dun want anything more complex XP

alright, anyone can complain it's that long ass storyboard because got 8 storyboard panels, but it just a rough storyboard to get the visual idea out, things will change when I create that world in CG meaning that there are some things I must change or some stuff I might add in to get the look to feel right, while planning for that, I will gather any kind of refference to build this story in CG together with production artwork to cover the whole process.

got all my refference for animation ready. Side projects I am doign now is just simple sketches, some paintings and animation practise, after all I'm specializing in CG Character Animation, just not sure who will hire in future and wat sort of projects I will involve in

other updates, after packig and landing at auckland, won't be online for awhile, wil be celebrating CNY 2011 with my junior Isaac and my relatives, maybe after that I will upload the 3rd storyboard, release some production art but finalize maybe not

3 50 pm, now my last few day in KL before I fly off to new zealand, some of my classmates and seniors are further studies overseas and some are excited to start work, while i'm still waitingto go, I make us of my time do some animation practise, it's some piece of work I tot about when I was looking through online animation forum sponsor by animation mentor, so I will apply some of them in my personal exercise.

i'm practising in weight and balance, time and spacing. the sketch below is my planning stage on how it can look like.

below is the blocking I did for the animation, along is norman rig for the practise, this is just my blocking stage so there still got time for refinements

pretty soon I going tp upload 2 more storyboards after making refinements the storyline, for now, just keep trying and learning. this saturday will yumcha with 1 one of my juniors, maybe only potential future partner lol

4 am in the morning, just wake up, I'm going to fly off on 1st of Febuary, on thai airways to Bangkok 1st, then onwards to Auckland, my 1st flight on my own and 1st time travelling on my own, about damn time oso!

my storyboards are completed, with some small revising work left to do. going to be packing soon so I hope my flight goes properly if not well.
